Football Development Index™
One development profile. A clearer view of their game.
The Football Development Index™ brings key assessment areas together into one structured picture of where the player is today — and where development should focus next.
Football Development Index™
One structured 0–100 development profile.
Observed Footage Benchmark
Where the submitted footage sits on the Path2Academy pathway.
Academy Comparison
Area-level academy-development context, where the footage supports it.
Observed Strengths
What already stands out in this assessment.
Development Priorities
Where to focus next.
Built from player information and the football footage you submit. It is an indicative development guide — not academy selection, trials or official grading.
Development pathway
See how submitted footage is compared with the Path2Academy development pathway.
The report’s Observed Footage Benchmark is a developmental reference from the submitted clips against the Development Band™ pathway. JPL is shown as a competitive playing environment parents can select — not as a scored benchmark band.
Grassroots
Building the foundations of the game.
JPL
A stronger competitive playing environment between grassroots and development-centre football.
Development Centre
Stronger foundations with growing consistency and game understanding.
Cat 3
A strong age-relative profile with reliable core qualities.
Cat 2
An advanced age-relative profile with strong technical, tactical and decision-making qualities.
Cat 1
A very strong age-relative profile with high consistency and clear position-specific quality.
Elite
An exceptional age-relative developmental profile across the most important areas of the game.
Important: Development Band™ is a Path2Academy developmental benchmark based on submitted footage. It does not represent academy registration or guarantee academy selection. JPL describes where a player currently plays and is not used as an observed benchmark score.
Observed Footage Benchmark
Footage-based benchmarking — not selection probability
Your report places what can be seen in the submitted footage against Path2Academy’s age-relative development pathway — using clear evidence language such as scored evidence, observed signals, limited evidence, and not observed.
It is developmental benchmarking only. It does not show selection percentages and does not predict academy selection, trials, scouting interest or contracts. Current playing environment (including JPL) is context for where they play today — not the Observed Footage Benchmark.
