Methodology
Academy Comparison™
See how key areas of the game track against age-appropriate Path2Academy academy-development benchmarks — without selection percentages or trial guarantees.
Purpose
Benchmark context without false certainty
Parents often ask how a player compares with “academy standards”. Where the footage provides enough evidence, Academy Comparison™ appears in the development report with clear, area-level states against Path2Academy’s own age-appropriate academy-development benchmarks.
Treat it as developmental benchmarking only — not a selection probability, scouting score or club decision forecast.
Meaning
The comparison states parents will see
Developing
This area is still building relative to the Path2Academy benchmark for the player’s age context.
Building toward benchmark
Progress is visible, with clear room to strengthen consistency.
In line with benchmark
This area is tracking in line with the Path2Academy age-appropriate benchmark.
Tracking strongly
This area is tracking strongly against the Path2Academy benchmark in the submitted footage.
How it is produced
How Academy Comparison™ is calculated in plain terms
Path2Academy reviews key areas observed in the submitted footage using its structured assessment methodology.
Those areas are then expressed against Path2Academy academy-development benchmarks appropriate to the player’s age context.
There are no public selection percentages. There is no claim that a named academy has evaluated the player.
How parents use it
Convert benchmark states into training focus
- Identify areas marked Developing or Building toward benchmark.
- Cross-check with Development Priorities in the report.
- Use the 30-Day Development Plan from the completed paid assessment to practise those priorities; active members can also use Train Now.
- Reassess with fresh footage to update the picture. Rich 3/6/12-month comparison dashboards are not live yet.
Limitations
What Academy Comparison™ does not claim
It does not predict academy selection.
It does not guarantee trials.
It does not replace club coaching or official academy evaluations.
This assessment is based solely on the footage you submitted. It is an indicative development guide and does not guarantee academy selection or represent an official academy evaluation.
