Child and Parent Privacy Notice

Last updated: 10 August 2026

A shorter, plain-English explanation of how we handle information about young players and their parents. Read this alongside our full Privacy Policy.

What this notice is

This short notice explains, in plain English, how Path2Academy handles information about young players and their parents.

Parents or legal guardians create and control the account. Players aged 7–16 do not run their own Path2Academy accounts.

What information we collect

Parent contact details to run the account and send important emails.

Player details the parent enters (such as first name, age, position and club).

For the free Player Pathway consultation (no account required): parent first name and email, player first name, age, and questionnaire answers about football environment and goals — not footage or photos.

An optional photo of the player to help us recognise them in the videos.

Football videos the parent uploads for the paid assessment.

The assessment report and scores created from that information.

Why photos and videos are needed

Videos are needed so we can assess how the player plays.

The optional photo is only to help identify the correct player in the footage. It is not facial recognition and is not treated as biometric data.

Who sees the information

The parent who owns the account.

Path2Academy staff only when genuinely needed for support or a problem.

Technology companies that host the site, store files, take payments, send emails, or help analyse videos.

We do not automatically send reports to clubs, coaches, academies or scouts.

How AI is used

AI-assisted football analysis using Path2Academy’s structured assessment methodology.

Reports are not currently individually reviewed by a human football coach.

We do not use your videos to train general AI models or for marketing.

What we do not promise

We do not promise academy selection, trials, scouting attention or a professional contract.

The report is development guidance based on the footage you send.

How long we keep videos

We normally delete player photos and football footage within 90 days after the report is delivered, unless we still need them for a complaint, support issue, legal dispute, or an ongoing reassessment.

Reports are kept while the account is active and for up to 24 months after cancellation or last activity, unless a valid earlier deletion request applies or the law requires longer retention for some records.

These periods describe our normal practice and are not a claim that deletion is fully automated.

Corrections and deletion

Parents can email support@path2academy.com to correct player details, ask about a processing problem, or request deletion.

We will respond without undue delay and normally within one month of receiving a valid request. Where permitted by law, we may extend this period by up to two further months where a request is complex or numerous. If we need an extension, we will explain this within the first month.

That data-rights timeframe is separate from our general support response target of 1–2 working days.

Assessment-processing review requests: within 10 working days.

How to contact us
