Footage Consent Notice

Last updated: 10 August 2026

What parents must confirm before uploading player photos and football footage, how we use that media, and what we will not do with it.

1. Parent authority

Only a parent, legal guardian, or someone with lawful authority may submit a player’s information and footage for assessment.

Before payment or final submission you must confirm that authority in the assessment journey.

2. Lawful recording and sharing

You are responsible for ensuring you are entitled to record and share the footage and that uploading it does not breach club, competition, venue or third-party restrictions.

Match footage may incidentally include other players, coaches or spectators. Do not upload footage that is focused on unrelated children.

3. Prohibited footage

Do not upload intimate or inappropriate images.

Do not upload hidden-camera or otherwise prohibited recordings.

Do not upload footage where you lack lawful authority.

Do not upload child sexual imagery or any illegal content.

4. Optional reference photo

The reference photo is optional.

If provided, it is used only to help identify the player in submitted footage.

It is not used for facial recognition, is not treated as biometric data, and is not sent to AI as a reference image.

5. How footage is analysed

AI-assisted football analysis using Path2Academy’s structured assessment methodology.

Reports are not currently individually reviewed by a human football coach.

Video may be processed by contracted AI and hosting providers solely to deliver the assessment.

6. What we will not do with your media

We will not use identifiable footage or photos for general AI model training, marketing, research, or unrelated product promotion.

Anonymised and aggregated operational statistics may be used to improve the service.

7. Storage, retention and deletion

Footage and photos are stored in private storage with access limited to the account holder, authorised personnel where necessary, and contracted providers needed to process the assessment.

We normally delete player photos and footage within 90 days after the relevant report is delivered, unless temporarily required for a complaint, support investigation, legal dispute, or reassessment still in progress.

These retention periods describe our normal practice and are not a claim that deletion is fully automated.

To request earlier deletion, email support@path2academy.com.

8. No automatic club or scout sharing

We do not automatically share footage or reports with clubs, scouts or academies.
